Songjeong Beach
송정
Songjeong Beach can be found by following Dalmaetjil Road past Haewol Pavilion and the cherry blossom district. The sandy beach stretches 1.2 km in length with a width of 30–60 m and an area of 54,000 m², making it relatively large in scale. With its soft sand, gentle slope and shallow waters, Songjeong Beach is increasingly popular as a family holiday destination where families and children can enjoy swimming comfortably. Located at the beach entrance, Jukdo island features dense pine groves and rest areas, hosts an annual ritual ceremony, and is enhanced by the charm of Songil Pavilion, an octagonal structure in Korea's distinctive pavilion style. Along the coast, raw fish restaurants serving locally caught sashimi are lined up, and at the end of the shore in the flounder valley area, a dining culture street has been developed where visitors can sample further local specialities. In addition, numerous events are held annually including the Daeboreom seaweed festival, Songjeong Beach Festival and Songjeong Jukdo Culture Festival.

What it is for
A gentler, more laid-back beach just up the coast from Haeundae, and Busan's main spot for beginner surfing, with board rentals and schools along the sand. The Blueline beach train runs out to it.
Quieter than Haeundae and good for a first surf lesson. Reachable on the Blueline train from Mipo.
