Darangyi Village
다랭이마을
Darangyi Village is located in Namhae County, South Gyeongsang Province. According to local accounts, ancestors of the village expanded their farmland by carving into the mountainside and building stone walls to create terraced rice paddies. The narrow, elongated rice fields beginning from the sea are connected like steps and face toward Eungbongsan and Seolheulsan, which are beloved as Namhae's finest hiking trails. Though the rice paddies have an irregular and rustic appearance, clean walking paths and viewing platforms are provided between them for comfortable exploration. Touring the village's notable features—the male and female rocks, the rice mound, the cloud bridge, and the pebble beach—takes approximately one hour.
