The Dadaepo Dream Sunset Fountain is a musical fountain installed in the plaza at the entrance of Dadaepo Beach and is the world's largest of its kind. It opened on 27 March 2010 and operates annually from April to October. With a fountain base area of 2,538 m², a circular diameter of 60 m, a circumference of 180 m, and a maximum water height of 55 m, it holds the world record and has received certification from the Korea Records Institute as the largest in South Korea and the world, and was registered in the Guinness World Records on 27 March 2010 as the "world's largest ground fountain". The Dadaepo Dream Sunset Fountain comprises 20 types and 29 sub-fountains capable of producing various displays such as crane wings, rainbows, sunflowers, and mist. The fountain also performs to approximately 60 different songs each month, including pop songs, Western pop, and classical music. In addition, if visitors pre-register messages containing special stories or marriage proposals, these messages are introduced during the fountain show. Diverse seasonal and thematic programmes have been prepared so that visitors can directly participate and enjoy the experience in more varied ways. While watching the spectacular fountain show itself is worthwhile, the programmes that allow visitors to enjoy the experience with many others create an additional cherished memory alongside the fountain show.
