Samnak Ecological Park
삼락생태공원
Samnak is a place boasting the widest embankment area, with diverse natural environments and water-friendly spaces created for citizens, serving as a sports and leisure area. Samnak Ecological Park was formerly a vinyl greenhouse cultivation site; in 1998 Sasang-gu Office created a sports ground on the upper part of the Samnak embankment, and in 2006, through Busan City's Nakdong River embankment improvement project, eco-friendly farmland for use as a winter migratory bird feeding ground, water play areas, inline skating rinks and other sports facilities, and wetlands were restored. Samnak Ecological Park can be broadly divided into three sections: first, sports facilities for citizens in the uppermost and central areas; second, large natural grasslands with reed and coastal willow thickets and walking paths in various locations on the upper part; and third, reed wetland formation in the lower section where many migratory birds visit seasonally.
