Gadeokdo Yeondaebong Peak

Gadeokdo is the largest island belonging to Busan, and it is estimated that people have lived there since the Neolithic period; it is an island that has witnessed Korea's sorrowful history through the Imjin War and the Japanese colonial period. Yeondaebong Peak, at an elevation of 459 meters, is a mountain that can be visited in two to three hours, and while its height is not particularly high and is not difficult to climb, upon reaching the summit one can experience the feeling and views as if having climbed a much higher mountain. With its gentle slopes, it is well suited for light hiking by families, and as one approaches the summit, one can see Gadeokdo's sea and the Geoga Bridge at a glance. At the summit of Yeondaebong Peak stands a beacon tower where, during the Imjin War, the enemy was first spotted and a fire was lit to signal the invasion. It is a place where one can simultaneously experience the beauty of both mountain and sea.
